The technological level of Gen-AI is increasing day by day, raising issues that cannot be interpreted within the current legal system. In particular, it is not easy to determine whether a Gen-AI system has violated the current legal system, and to address these issues, major countries are considering legislation and policies to regulate Gen-AI companies and industries.
Gen-AI technology is advancing rapidly over time, and legal systems are struggling to keep up, so it is necessary to emphasise the responsibility of self-regulation by Gen-AI providers themselves, and to put in place measures to ensure transparency around Gen-AI technology.
While there is a certain degree of social consensus on the need to secure transparency for Gen-AI systems and products, and Gen-AI providers themselves are establishing standards for securing and enhancing transparency, there is still a lot of discussion to be had before concrete standards are established. It will be necessary to continue discussions among various stakeholders, including academia, industry, and government, to establish transparency standards for each type of Gen-AI technology and field of use.
